🎉 Celebrating 50 Years of the HSE! 🎉

As we mark the 50th anniversary of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), it’s incredible to reflect on the progress made. Fatalities at work are now less than a quarter of what they were fifty years ago. However, we must remember that over two people on average still don’t make it home to their families each week. No one should go to work and lose their life.

This is like a pebble dropping in a pond, creating ripples that affect countless lives.

January is a time when many of us have just spent the holidays with our families, experiencing togetherness. Imagine how different it would be if one of us had lost a loved one. Even minor injuries can have profound effects on families, leading to loss of earnings, changes in family dynamics, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Let’s make the next 50 years a period to be proud of. Let’s work towards a future where health and safety professionals continue to make strides, and more families stay whole.
